Boltaron Performance Products, LLC is a leading North American producer of thermoplastic sheet products for components used in aircraft and mass-transit vehicle interiors as well as for applications within the construction, chemical process and semiconductor industries. SIMONA AMERICA is a major manufacturer of polyolefins and polyvinyl chloride sheets and rods. The acquisition price consisted of cash.
In acquiring Boltaron, SIMONA AG has reaffirmed its strategy of expansion through targeted acquisitions in the important US plastics market as well as its commitment to unlocking new fields of application. With this acquisition SIMONA AG is able to cover the entire US market for engineering plastics, from high-volume commodity grades to high-performance products used in areas such as the aerospace industry.
FM&Co. advised SIMONA AG on a multi-step engagement process which included valuation, transaction structuring, and management of business, financial and legal due diligence, recommending negotiating strategies and tactics through closing of the transaction.
