Fredericks Michael & Co. acted as exclusive financial advisor to Coeclerici Commodities SA, the trading division of Coeclerici S.p.A., an Italy-based leader in coal mining, trading, shipping, and logistics serving the energy and steel industries worldwide, on its sale of Coeclerici Coal Network Inc.
CCN is a full-service coal agent, trading and marketing firm. CCN engages in the physical trading of coal to the Midwest, South and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States and provides logistics services for delivery solutions and terminal management. Moreover, CCN provides operational support, financing, & specialized logistics solutions to its customers and suppliers. Coeclerici sold CCN, headquartered in Mason, Ohio, in order to re-focus on its core business in other markets.

FM&Co.’s advisory services to Coeclerici included contacting and meeting with potential buyers as well as valuing, structuring, and negotiating the terms and conditions of the agreement with Coal Network, LLC.
